Devlog: We Want Your Feedback!
Hello, Player Citizens and fellow Mayors!
It's been a wild ride since we launched Bizarre Boroughs, and we've been absolutely blown away by the amazing stories, characters, and adventures you've shared with us. Your enthusiasm has been incredible, and we're so grateful for the community that has grown around this little TTRPG.
Now, as we prepare for the next phase of development, we want to hear from you! We're at a point where your feedback is invaluable. We want to know what you love, what's not working, and what you'd like to see next.
Please take a moment to read through these questions and share your thoughts in the comments below.
1. The Core Experience: How's the Grind?
First, let's talk about the big picture. How are you and your group enjoying the game so far?
- What's been your favorite part of playing Bizarre Boroughs?
- What's something that feels like it's missing from the overall experience?
- What's a moment from your campaign that perfectly captured the "hyper-mundane" vibe? We'd love to hear your stories!
2. Systems & Mechanics: Let's Get Technical
We've tried to make the systems simple and intuitive, but we know there's always room for improvement.
- Character Creation: How did you find the "Roll Your Destiny" method? Was it a fun way to get into a character, or did it feel too chaotic? Is there anything you would change about the process?
- Attribute Checks: The core of the game is based on the d6 system. How do the attributes (Brawn, Finesse, Wits, Presence, Resolve) feel in play? Are they balanced? Do you find yourself using one more than the others?
- Harm Tracks: How do the Physical and Mental Harm tracks work for your group? Do they feel like they adequately represent the struggles of urban life, or do you think they could be improved?
3. For the Mayors: A Note on Episode Structure
This one's for our brilliant Game Masters! We introduced a three-part episode structure (A, B, and C plots) in our guide.
- How has this framework worked for you in practice? Was it easy to implement, or did you find it difficult to manage all three plots at once?
- Have you used the Mayor's Toolkit or The Arcane Ordaining supplements? What did you like about them, and what would you change?
4. The Future of the Borough: What's Next?
We have tons of ideas for new content, but we want to know what you're most excited about.
- What kind of new Species or Ordainings (character classes/paths) would you like to see?
- Are there any specific Hyper-Mundane Factions you'd like us to develop? (e.g., a union for sentient appliances, a guild for gargoyles).
- Would you like more tools for building out specific locations, like The Library of Lost Thoughts or a Temporally Displaced Coffee Shop?
- Any other ideas for new mechanics or supplements?
Your feedback is the most valuable resource we have, and we can't wait to see what you have to say.
Thank you for being a part of this amazing journey!
